Jan Philip Eckmann is a Ferry Journalist and Sales and Marketing Consultant. He has over 30 years active as journalist and moderator in the European Ferry and RoRo shipping industry. Founder of RoPax magazine and in cooperation with Wilhelm Borchert GmbH organizer of RoPax workshops. Moderator for the German Ferry Shipping and Tourism Association (VFF). He started his career in ferry shipping as a booking agent for TT Line and Euroway and Silja Line. After study time he was sales director for a leading forwarding company Bruhn Spedition in the Scandinavian and Continental trade. 10 years he was marketing director for Dräger Medical in Germany. Jukka Etelävuori is currently the Logistics Executive at the National Emergency Supply Agency. He has been working in various positions. He has done long-term work to ensure the continuity of sea transport and security of supply. At the moment, Etelävuori works as a senior preparedness specialist in the logistics team of the Security Service Center. He acts as the contact person for the Air Transport Pool, the Port Pool and the Water Transport Pool, and plans and implements the preparedness of these sectors in cooperation with the business community and other authorities.

Recently he has been appointed as the CEO of the new TIC 4.0 Association (Terminal Industry Committee 4.0), supported by FEPORT and PEMA, developing standards for the terminal industry. Heli Koukkula-Teixeira has over 25 years of experience in international project co-ordination, event management and organising international events, seminars and conferences from the idea to the implementation and co-operation with corporate and institutional bodies and communications. Furthermore, she is specialised in marketing and communication. Earlier she worked several years for the Ministry of Transport and Communications of Finland as well as for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Finland as an important member of the coordinating groups of international development programmes related to Russian markets. Miika Mandel is the CEO of South Finland Port Service Ltd.
Maija Mattila is director for labour market and legal at the Finnish Shipowners´ Association. Finnish Shipowners´ Association represents Finnish vessels in international traffic and some special purpose vessels in domestic traffic. Maija has worked within shipping since 2002. She has worked within maritime law and maritime labour law since 2007 as an in-house lawyer for a passenger vessel company and as a partner in a law firm. Maija negotiates Collective Bargaining Agreements for Finnish vessels in international traffic. In her work she pays a lot of attention on to how to improve the working conditions to guarantee that seafarer work remains as an attractive alternative, and that youth seeks to the maritime industry. She also puts her focus on improving good leadership onboard vessels.

Dr. Professor Pino Musolino, President and CEO of the North Central Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority and President of the Ports of Rome, MedPorts Association will also join the Summit. Pino Musolino graduated in 2006 with a Law degree from the University of Bologna and completed an LLM in "International Commercial and Maritime Law" at the University of Wales, Swansea, in 2010. Pino Musolino is currently also a Professor at the university of Tuscia (Lazio Region, in italy) teaching “Sustainable Economics - History and Development. From March 2017 to December 2020, Pino Musolino served as the President and CEO of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority – Ports of Venice and since then as a President and CEO of the North Central Tyrrhenian Sea Port Authority – Ports of Rome. In February 2023 Pino Musolino started as a President of the MEDPorts Association.
Esko Mustamäki has over 30 years extensive experience in shipping and shipbuilding industries in Finland. He is today a Member of the Board of Directors at Helsinki Shipyard. His previous experience includes executive positions in a leading Finnish RoRo/RoPax operator, an Icebreaker/offshore vessel operator, and a leading Finnish shipyard. During his career, he has worked on several restructuring and business development projects. In 1984, Mr. Mustamäki graduated from the Helsinki University of Technology with a Master's degree in Engineering (Naval Architecture and Marine Engineering).
Markku Mylly has been working on maritime and shipping sector for 50 years in Finland and abroad. He has a vast and comprehensive experience of the shipping and maritime sector on both, public and commercial sides. He has been involved in developing national and international VTS-systems, icebreaking fleet and operations, maritime safety, maritime security, and environmental protection related topics and international collaboration. He also has gained experience in maritime and shipping regulatory framework in relation to safety, security, environmental protection and maritime emissions. His experience is focused also on the port sector, port technological development, digitalization, logistics and markets.
Dr Rolf Neise has a long career in SCM, both in senior line management in some global FMCG companies in different countries around the world as well as in various consultancies. Amongst others, he was working as the Global Head of Logistics Operations at BAT (British American Tobacco plc), in charge of defining and implementing BAT’s logistics strategy in the e2e supply chain. Currently he is Member of the Intelligence Hunt Team, where he drives the international Supply Chain focus forward. As a Senior Advisor he also supports multinational companies to optimize their SCM and logistics structures, and gives lectures at the International School of Management (ISM). Mr. Neise is a highly acclaimed presenter and regularly speaks at supply chain conferences around the world.
Petteri Nurmi has been in the logistics business for more than 25 years and has a lisence to drive a truck. He has previously held several executive positions in land transport within DB Schenker Finland, including the position of CEO of Suomen Kiitoautot Oy in 2012–2014. His wide knowhow of the branch has lead him to steer the wheel of Schenker Finland as the CEO since 2018. This year he acts as the Chairman of the Board of the Finnish Freight Forwarding and Logistics Association, alongside several other positions of trust, and took over the position of CEO, Cluster Nordics at Schenker on April, 1st.
Marco Palmu is the Head of Passenger Services at Finnlines. He is also a Member of Finnlines Group’s Board of Management. Earlier he worked for Tallink Silja Oy, where he served as a Commercial Director. He has an extensive background from shipping and passenger business.
Dennis Jul Pedersen has an extensive career with executive roles within shipping, oil and gas services and offshore wind before his current role as Chief Executive Officer for Port Esbjerg. Mr Pedersen has been residing in Norway, Scotland, Abu Dhabi, and Singapore before returning to Esbjerg, Denmark. Mr Pedersen commenced his career as an officer in the Merchant Marine and Lieutenant in the Royal Danish Navy before taking on roles in the offshore industry as Towmaster, Marine Manager and Operations Director before embarking on general management and executive positions for the last decade. Mr Pedersen is a master mariner and holds a Master of Business Administration from Aberdeen Business School and A Doctoral of Business Administration from the University of Liverpool.

Jyrki Ranki has more than 25 years experience from Scandinavian forest industry and logistics. Mr Ranki started his logistics career already in 1993 as working for Metsä Fibre Pulp company as a Logistics Manager. His main task was to create and operated centralised maritime and port logistics solution and organisation for Metsä Group Pulp Industry. In 2009 he was appointed as a Vice President of Metsä Fibre Logistics. Since 2010 he has also been responsible for Metsä Group´s Scandinavian land transportations and port handling as a head of these operations. Since 2015 Mr Ranki has been working as the Head of Metsä Group Maritime Category. Mr Ranki has also other positions of trust, as he has also been a Chairman of the Board of Directors of two Finnish Stevedoring in Kemi and Kaskinen..
Tomi Rautio is the CEO of C&C Port Agency Finland since 1st August 2023. Rautio comes from Steveco Group, where he has acted as the CEO of Oy Saimaa Terminals Ab and Senior Vice President of Steveco’s Port Terminals.
Lena Ridström is the Managing Director for Columbus Sweden, globally responsible for Data&AI and a member of the group management. Columbus is an IT services company listed on NASDAQ Copenhagen with 1600 employees in 10 countries.As CEO in tech companies, management consulting- and logistics companies she has a long experience from digital transformation of businesses based on ERP- and SupplyChain-solutions together with advanced analytics implementations. Moreover, Lena has experience as a board member and investor from startups to listed companies. Existing board assignments in 4CStrategies AB and IMI AB, during 2016-2023 a board member of Oriola Oyj. Lena has a MBA from Linköping University.

Ida Saavalainen is the President and CEO of the Ahola Group, After her studies, Hanken alumna Saavalainen worked for a few years at ABB in Helsinki before moving to Kokkola to work at the transport and logistics company Ahola Group in late 2009. Saavalainen has been head of the third-generation family business since September 2022.

Erik Söderholm is the CEO of the Port of Turku. Before joining the Port of Turku, Erik Söderholm has had a long career in management positions in both domestic and international logistics companies. Right after his studies, his path took him to the shipping department of the forestry company Enso-Gutzeit, or today's Stora Enso, where he was responsible for export shipping to, for example, German-speaking Europe and Arab countries.
Ulla Tapaninen has over 25 years’ experience in logistics and maritime transport research and development work. She received her PhD in 1997 in logistics modelling. She has worked for 10 years as a Development and Environmental Manager at Finnlines Plc. Between 2006–2012 she worked as a professor of maritime logistics in the University of Turku specializing in maritime and port operations and their IT; and maritime safety. Thereafter she served as Senior Specialist and Head of Unit for the City of Helsinki in port and cross-border transport development projects. She started as Associate Professor of Maritime Transport in Estonian Maritime Academy in Tallinn University of Technology in 2021, focusing on sustainable shipping.
Jonas Teir is a Technology Director at Wasaline. He was the Project Manager for the newbuilding of the ferry Aurora Botnia. Jonas has been at sea since 2003, when he started the deck and machine repairman degree at Ålands Seamans school. Later he has studied in Turku, Finland, to get a bachelor’s degree in Machine engineering. Jonas started at Wasaline in 2016, working on board Wasa Express. He has a lot of technical skills about the machinery.

Sveta Ukkonen is Leading Global Marine Fuels & Services at Neste. She is working on creating responsible choices for shipping community. She is passionate about driving new growth and creating innovative solutions that help customers to achieve their targets. In my experience the best results are gained when combining outside-in thinking with company internal competences. As a leader she focuses on team empowerment to foster autonomous leadership. Yrjö Vainiala is the Port Director and COO of the Port of Naantali. He holds a master's degree in engineering. Earlier he worked at the Satakunta University of Applied Sciences as a Senior Lecturer in Logistics. In the 1990s, Vainiala worked as a Logistics Manager at Oy JIT-Trans Ltd. Clas-Johann Westén is the Technical Superintendent at Tallink Silja Oy. He is a Naval Architect, B. Sc. He graduated from Arcada Polytechnics and has been working in the shipping industry for almost 20 years in various positions.
Anders Wiklund is the Island Ambassador, and County Manager of Åland OX2 Ab. He is also the Chairman of the Network for Sustainable Large Companies on the Åland Islands. Earlier Anders acted as the CEO of Optinova Group, world leader in manufactoring of advanced tubing for high demanding industries.
Poul Woodall has more than 45 years experience in the maritime world with a passion for climate and environmental issues. Educated as a Maersk management trainee, he has spent 17 years working aboard in Asia, Middle East and Europe. More recently he has been active on the shipping climate and environmental agenda working with -and for -a number of interests organizations including Danish Shipping, UK Chamber of Shipping and Interferry. On the marine policy front, Mr. Woodall has represented shipping interests at IMO and EU, latter through the ESSF network for a number of years.
