Maritime Archaeological Society (MAS.fi) is a Finnish Government recoginized charitable organization, solely based on volunteer work of maritime archaeology amateurs and professionals. The society focuses on "presenting the hidden treasures of the deep for the general public".
The warming seas and negligent plundering are threatening our underwater cultural heritage - namely the historic shipwrecks. In order to preserve the shipwrecks for the future generations via increased awareness, the Society needs need your support!
During the voyage from Lågnäs to Naantali on M/S Finnswan, the Maritime Archaeological Society of Finland is demonstrating their upcoming immersive virtual reality exhibition of the uniquely preserved historical shipwrecks on the Baltic Sea bed.
The participants of the second day of the SeaFocus Summit will have an opportunity to experience a virtual dive into the shipwrecks of the deep with modern 3D technology. Also applicable for various fields of maritime industry.
