Maritime Archaeological Society (MAS.fi) is a Finnish Government recoginized charitable organization, solely based on volunteer work of maritime archaeology amateurs and professionals. The society focuses on "presenting the hidden treasures of the deep for the general public", in order to preserve them for the future generations via increased awareness of our sunken cultural heritage now bing threatened by warming seas and negligent plundering. The Maritime Archaeological Society of Finland is demonstrating their upcoming immersive virtual reality exhibition of the uniquely preserved historical shipwrecks on the Baltic Sea bed.
The participants of the second day of the SeaFocus Summit will have an opportunity to personally experience a virtual dive into the shipwrecks of the deep and how they are made alive with modern 3D technology - also applicable for various fields of maritime industry.
