ULLA KEINO, CEO, SEAFOCUS
Ulla Keino´s over 30 years of experience of shipping started with Metsä Group in 1986, following a career of 8 years in the Stora Enso Group (former Enso Plc). During these years she was responsible of mainly short sea shipping and especially of internal waterway shipments of forest products, paper, paperboard, timber and pulp. She was an important customer for the German, Finnish and Russian shipowners and shipbrokers. She has held important positions in the several Finnish industries and governmental initiated projects related to forest industry logistics and governmental maritime infrastructure and development projects.
Dr. TAPIO KOIVU, EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR, HEUREKA SCIENCE CENTRE
Tapio Koivu has been active in a number of boards of start-ups (Solucel oy, Envault corp, Vergo Oy, Plexpress Oy, Zora Biosciences, Global Eco Solutions Oy), chair of an investment committee of a start-up fund (Seed Cap II) and active in different business development functions (Venture Cup Foundation, board) as well. He was appointed to the position of Executive Director of Heureka in August 2014. From 2011 to early 2013 he was director of Research Affairs at the University of Helsinki. Prior to this, he was Executive Vice President at Technical Research Center of Finland (VTT). Dr. Koivu held the position of Vice President and founder of VTT’s office in Silicon Valley and Research Fellow at Stanford from 2001 to 2004.

Esko Mustamäki graduated from Helsinki University of Technology in 1984 with MSc in Engineering and Shipbuilding and he has held several management level positions within the maritime sector. He was employed by Wärtsilä Marine in 1980 and after that he has been employed by F-G Shipping Inc., Finnlines Plc, Finstaship and SET-Group Ltd. Since April 2011 Mr Mustamäki has worked as Managing Director for Arctech Helsinki Shipyard, a shipyard founded in 2010 that specializes in building icebreakers and other Arctic offshore and special vessels.

Per Westling has been employed by Stena since 1985. In addition to a M.Sc. degree in Naval Architecture from Chalmers Technical University of Gothenburg, Sweden, Mr Westling is trained as an Engineer within the Royal Swedish Navy. Within the Stena group he has been project manager for several newbuildings and major conversion projects but also served for five years within the Stena Line Ship Management. In 2001 he moved to Stena RoRo as Conversion Manager, took on the role of Deputy Managing Director in 2008 and subsequently Managing Director in 2011.

Sten Carslsson has long experience in the Marine industry since 1967; from working on ships, shipyards, training centers and administrations, for example IMO. The last decades Mr. Carlsson has been employed by Chevron (Texaco) mainly dealing with sales and deliveries of Marine Lubricants, Marine Fuels and Aviation Fuels. Since July 2015 the sales of Marine Lubricants to international customers located mainly in Sweden, Finland and Poland have been contracted to SACson AB as an agent.

Mr Savolainen is currently a deputy member of the Board of Ilmarinen Pension Insurance Company, member of the negotiation body of the Finnish Meteorological Institute and member of the Assembly of Delegates of the Confederation of Finnish Industries EK. He successfully managed the corporatization of topbonus and subsequent sale of 70% to Etihad Airways. Prior to that, he spent a decade at Star Alliance in roles spanning Network and Membership Development. He started his career with Austrian Airlines with a focus on market research and long term network planning.

Michael Enberg started his career in shipping and forwarding 1980 as a transport officer for a turn-key consulting company in Libya and then for a logistics company in Saudi-Arabia. Since then he has worked extensively for the shipping and forwarding industry both in Finland and abroad. As from 1991 he has held several industry positions as managing director. Since 2010 he is Managing Director, Board Member of Maersk Finland Oy, as well as on the Leaderhip team of the Maersk Line Eastern European Cluster (Russia, Finland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech).

Mika Laurilehto is responsible for the business development and daily operations. He has been with Deltamarin since 2005 and was appointed to the position of Managing Director in 2006. He has extensive experience of 25 years in the maritime industry and his previous working experience includes but is not limited to working as the vice president for ALMACO Group’s project management and taking various management positions in operative project management, application and business development duties for Wärtsilä. Mr Laurilehto holds a Master Degree of Science in Naval Architect from Helsinki University of Technology.

Markku Mylly has a long experience in the maritime sector since 1973. He was sailing in Finnish merchants ships until 1987, when he joined Finnish Maritime Administration. He has closed deals for suppliers of diesel engine (spare) parts, like Bloksma and NRF (both suppliers of coolers), PK OEM Parts and SSM (both suppliers of spare parts). But also companies active with equipment for leisure crafts, like the sale of Vetus to Yanmar, and companies active in large scale component manufacturing, marine engineering and suppliers of offshore equipment. Prior to joining Oaklins in 2004, he worked in Mergers and Acquisitions at Rabobank.

Matti Toivanen has worked in various positions ranging from Sales, Key Account Management, Director Contract Logistics and since 2012 he has been Managing Director of Kuehne + Nagel Oy Ltd Finland.
